Brass

Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, and a lovely way to add a beautiful golden colour to your jewellery wardrobe at a much lower price point than gold. Due to its high copper content, brass will develop tarnish more quickly than other jewellery metals, but with a little care and attention to keep it clean (a polishing cloth is provided with every order!) it will look beautiful for a lifetime.

Coins

Coins are made of all different types of metal alloys, not all of which are up to the standards of traditional jewellery metals! Please take note of the material the coin is made of and consider any allergens or sensitivities, nickel in particular can react with sensitive skin. Consider the style of the setting as well—the settings that rest behind the coin prevent direct contact with the skin and are a great choice for sensitive skin, whereas the settings that go around the outside of the coin will have direct skin contact and may develop patina more quickly in contact with moisture on the skin.
